Sage Summit 2014 – Can We Talk?

Being a veteran of exactly ONE Sage Summit, my expectations for 2014 were “more of the same.” Which is not to shed a negative light on Summit 2013 – I just ‘assumed’ there was a Standard Sage Formula for the Annual Sage Event.

So, after previewing this year’s “Sage Summit Reimagined” – 2014 promises not only to blow my assumptions away, it looks like it is shaping up to be a World-Class Event!

And this year, it’s all about the “Conversations.”

First off, the list of featured speakers looks like a ‘Who’s Who’ list from a TED Talk. The lineup includes Twitter co-founder Biz Stone; former White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs; and Former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to George Bush, Karl Rove. Other “featured conversationsalists” include celebrity/business moguls Magic Johnson (Chairman/CEO Magic Johnson Enterprises), Jessica Alba (Co-founder of The Honest Company, actress, author and activist), Eric Ryan (Co-founder Method products), J. Carey Smith (Founder and Chief Big Ass of Big Ass Solutions), Jennifer Fleiss (Co-founder and Head of Business Development, Rent the Runway), and Ben Kauffman (Founder, CEO of Quirky).

And the conversations continue…the ‘business thought leadership conversations’ feature 37 Industry Leaders from Forbes to Google to best-selling authors! Personally, I can’t wait to sit in on these sessions from leading authorities in their fields. This ain’t your Mama’s Summit on product training and roadmaps (disclaimer: not that there’s anything wrong with product training and roadmaps). It’s just that the focus has changed from speaking AT us to speaking WITH us – on a business level. That’s how a conversation works, n’est-ce pas? (That one’s for you, Pascal!)

And just to put the cherry on the top, the concert on Thursday night features the pop group “Neon Trees” whose catchy hit single is…

wait for it…“Everybody Talks”!

Nicely played, Sage. Nicely played.

Hope to see you at Sage Summit July 28-31, 2014 Mandalay Bay, LV, NV.
